Telephone counselling
There are times when an individual is unable to travel to the session for whatever reason. Therefore telephone session can be arranged. Telephone Counselling is convenient and easy to fit into your busy life style and hence it can take place from the comfort of your own home.

Telephone counselling is not suitable for everyone and this will be discussed on consultation. However, for those who might not be able to visit the clinic for whatever reason, telephone counselling will be of great value and assistance.

Sessions
It is important that sessions are consistent, as this will form a good structure from which the counselling will take place. The decision as to how many sessions and frequency will be discussed and agreed jointly. Sessions are reviewed regularly. This enables clients to say what has been of benefit, how they feel they are progressing, how they are implementing their new strategies, achieving their goals and exercising their coping skills.

Cognative Behavioural Therapy (CBT)
The philosophy of CBT relates to the client been thaught how to understand and overcome problems. This focuses on changing your thinking, feelings, and emotions which lead to dysfunctional behaviours and belief. It is also based on the premise that emotional distress is caused by the way we think, and by changing our way of thinking we are then able to better understand and manage our  anxiety, worries and emotional distress. 

By identifying core beliefs, maladaptive thoughts CBT aims to provide the insights and skills needed to get on track to independence.

 
Emotional Freedom Technique (EFT)
The origins Emotional Freedom Technique (EFT) lie in ancient Chinese medicine and the development of acupuncture. EFT is often described as acupuncture without the needles. It is a safe and gentle form of therapy which is simple to apply by tapping on the meridian points on the body’s energy system. It provides a wide range of strategies to clear emotional issues and blocks without necessarily exposed the self to unpleasant traumatic memories or to relive them. EFT is quick, painless and easy to do. Best of all you often see results in minutes.EFT allows an individual to address the true cause of there issues by working with the disruption in the body’s energy system. EFT restores emotional and physical wellbeing in profound ways and allows you to regain sense of self.


Hypnotherapy
Hypnosis is a natural state of relaxation. Hypnosis happens everyday without even realising that you are in hypnosis. You could be absorbed in a very good book, watching your favorite TV program, listening to your favorite music, so much so you didn’t even hear the phone ring, or even the door bell, it can also be perceived like been in a dream state.


Some people describe hypnosis like been in a meditative state. This meditative state is safe and while within this stage the subconscious mind is able to access the stored knowledge needed to assist in dealing with difficult issues past and present and facilitate the process for positive changes to take place.

Hypnosis is a process that is safe and you can leave the hypnotic state at anytime feeling in complete in control.

Reiki
Reiki is Japanese word to describe “Universal Life Force/energy”. The Rei = meaning universal life force and the Ki = meaning energy. It is an ancient Japanese healing art. This energy surrounds everything. Everything has energy, everything is made up of energy and all energy has a vibration. Reiki healing art is now practiced in many part of the world today. 


Reiki energy works on the body, mind, emotion and spirit by promoting its natural healing process. Reiki can be used as hands on or by distant healing.Reiki works under whether you believe it or not. It has no restriction placed on it, as it is not a religion or belief structure. Many people of different nationalities and cultures enjoy the use of Reiki.


Receiving Reiki is a very simple process. The treatment is carried out by the laying on of hands on various areas of the body from the head to the toe. This is done in a non intrusive way. During the treatment the client remains fully clothed.

Neuro Lingual Programming (NLP)
The basic principle of NLP is that the words we use reflect an inner, subconscious perception of our problems. If these words are inaccurate, then the underlying problem will remain for as long as we continue to use them and think of them. NLP enables an individual to understand what makes them tick and how their feeling can make sense based on their everyday life and the world around them.    
 

Part of the work with NLP is to analyse each word and phrase you use in describing your issues or concerns. An observation of body language/movement, facial expression and eye movements’ also form a very important part of the therapy. Within this process the root cause of the problem can is determined. 
 

NLP is a method of therapy which has a set of powerful technique that can assist an individual in making quick and lasting changes to their behavior. You can develop an understanding of the use of language skills to assist you in achieving your goals and fulfill your true potential. 

Consultation
The first session is where the assessment takes place. This gives the client and Counsellor the opportunity to meet and gain some understanding of the client’s problem. This session also facilitate the opportunity to decide whether we can work together. There is no obligation for the client to book any further appointments within this session. However, if the client decided at this time that we can work together, we will make a further appointment where we will then agree an appropriate number of sessions depending on the clients’ presenting problems.
